Visual Studio Code About
When developing software or web applications, it is absolutely important to have an editing tool that can help you create a proper workflow, make the most appropriate organization, and provide a friendly and attractive workspace. Comes with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, a software editing tool that can be viewed as a general haven for software / application developer. Visual Studio Code (VS Code) allows you to get rid of some daily organization tasks while developing software, and also allows extensions that can greatly increase the success of building your application.
VS Code provides a comfortable workspace in the development process. When opening a project, the first thing you’ll notice is the colorful syntax highlighting feature that can be customized for any programming language. If you want to import a project, VS Code has the Preview Mode if you want to quickly review your standard project files with drag-and-drop capability to the left and without editing. One of the most flexible parts of VS Code is to let you customize your project window layout.
You can divide your editor into multiple screens, or choose to display a portrait or landscape view. In separate VS Code window instances, you can open multiple projects at once if necessary. VS Code also includes an internal terminal / debugger that can run commands for your applications.
If you want to go one step further, you can choose from thousands of Extensions in the VS Code Marketplace. There are extensions and many other options that provide syntax help, such as parentheses highlighting and tag matching. For example, there are extensions that let you integrate with other popular development tools, such as Google Chrome Developer Tools.
There will also be situations where, like other standard extensions or plug-ins libraries, some extensions require updates from the developer and are not working correctly at startup. However, this is minimal, it also provides VS Code contact information, so users can report it to any developer. If you can’t find what you need in the extension library, you can create it yourself and contribute to the community of Extension developers.
VS Code alternatives
Although there are many products that can be compared with VS Code, there are some powerful features that make it stick to its competitors. A feature that distinguishes it from editors such as Sublime and Atom is the JavaScript IntelliSense, which has autocomplete and a hint system to help you with coding.
Because VS Code is fast and lightweight, it does not have all the features of the full IDE, such as the Code Profiling Tool in NetBeans or the Object Browser in the full Visual Studio IDE. However, VS Code is the perfect choice for developers who need a functional and fully customizable tool without the cost of a complete development environment.
