safari alternative Safari About

Safari is Apple’s ubiquitous web browser and is available on all Apple platforms.

If you’ve used an i-Device in the last decade, you’re probably familiar with at least some Safari. Automatically installed on all Apple devices, the company’s response to Microsoft Internet Explorer and a solution to browse a whole family of devices. A closer look at the browser reveals that there is more to it than a pre-made program.

Compared to many other browsers, Safari is quite clean. It logically concludes Apple’s commitment to user-friendly design and provides a fast and easy navigation experience for users. Of course there are not many customization options here, but there are many robust features. Top Sites is an interesting feature in the list of bookmarks, which provides an easy list of users to browse frequently used sites. The Read List also provides an easy way for users to save article URLs for later reading.

Interesting features aside, Safari is actually quite limited. It only works with iOS devices, so users using Safari on their phones or tablets cannot access the capabilities of the browser on their computers. Similarly, it is impossible to synchronize Safari from a Mac to an Android phone. The fact that the software is limited to hardware is a strange choice, especially since most browser platforms tend to be agnostic. This is an example of Apple’s walled garden approach and one that hinders the overall benefit of the browser.

In short, Safari is a fantastic browser as long as you want to buy Apple’s product ecosystem. However, if you are using non-Apple machines, you will notice that the scanner utility is significantly reduced. Although it is taken on its own, it offers a clean and fast way if it is not possible to customize the personalization experience.
